We Pick Winners for Week 16 of the 2022 NFL Season

There are three weeks left in the NFL regular season, and Week 16 includes action on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Before I move on to a full list of games, I’ll think about two things from Week 15. For one, I’ll never, ever understand how the Ravens teaser leg didn’t make it home for us and how Justin Tucker missed two of them. Shot attempts in the same game are part of that. The other is that I will go to my grave believing that the Cardinals would have come home had it not been for Colt McCoy’s injury.

Alright, other than that, we’re going back to Week 16, but first, let’s take a look at the progress of the entire season.

  • Week 15: 2-2-1
  • 2022 Season: 38-35-2

Come get these winners.

Tennessee Titans (-3) vs Houston Texans

Ryan Tannehill isn’t playing, and that’s part of why this line is the way it is. The other part is that Houston has been so successful lately that some people believe the Texans. Listen, Malik Willis isn’t very good, but this line shouldn’t be three. Even if it’s a little nasty with a backup quarterback, let it go.

TEASER: Buffalo Bills (-2) vs Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1.5) vs Arizona Cardinals

This is as square as I can get, but I like it. Buffalo speaks for itself as a very good football team against a broken team on defense. Tampa Bay is riskier on paper, but the Bucs face Trace McSorley. I’ve seen enough last week.

Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints under 32.5 points

These two teams are about to play with something called a “bomb cyclone.” Yes, this is something. Also, these offenses are not good, the defenses are mobile and there will be some ugliness here. The number is very low for some reason, but there is only one side.

Philadelphia Eagles (+4.5) vs Dallas Cowboys

Gardner Minshew is very good. Not as good as Jalen Hurts, who posted this number. The Eagles are definitely loaded in their defensive skill positions, and Minshew is good enough to keep the train on the tracks. I need at least 4 to get Philly but this is enough.

Los Angeles Chargers (-4.5) vs. Indianapolis Colts

It’s possible that this is a bad read on the Colts, but I have no idea how they’ve bounced back from the last two weeks. Another quarterback change is happening, Jonathan Taylor is in IR and the Chargers need to keep winning. Los Angeles are a team I usually rely on away as they completely lack the home advantage, but on paper the match is also in favor of the Chargers.
