Updated with Gentler Streak, Activity Recap and more

Gentler Streak, the popular Apple Watch app created to help users reach their fitness goals, has been recently updated with some new features. The latest version of the app comes with the 2022 Activity Summary available to all users and also adds support for the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra.

The 2022 Activity Summary, as the name suggests, shows a summary of the activities the user has logged in the Gentler Streak app during the year. Users can see data such as their total distance traveled in 2022 in one place. The developers describe the feature as:

See everything you’ve done in 2022 with this event recap. See the Yorharts you’ve collected, the distance you’ve covered, the total hours you’ve spent actively on the couch… we’ve created a great SHARE option to spread the word and motivate your friends! Take a look at this.

Version 2.7.5 of the app also adds support for the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra. For those unfamiliar, Apple Watch Ultra has a new button on the side that can be customized with different commands so users can easily start specific workouts without having to interact with the screen.

In this case, the Gentler Streak update allows users to set the Action Button to start or pause and resume a workout.

More about Gentler Streak

Gentler Streak was recently named App of the Year for Apple Watch by Apple. The app has been available for iPhone since 2021 and was released for Apple Watch in February of this year. The company’s co-founder and CEO, Katarina Lotrič, says she’s proud that Apple appreciates the work of a “small independent team.”

We see this as an extraordinary confirmation of our business, our vision, our relevance to time and place, and we are extremely happy that our message and philosophy are now spreading around the world. We still have a lot of things we want to bring to life and we look forward to every minute of it. I guess it would be fair to say that we are just getting started.

Gentler Streak is available for free on the App Store. However, some features require a lifetime subscription or license that can be purchased with in-app purchases. If you want to learn more about the app, be sure to read it. 9to5Macs Interview with Katarina Lotrič, founder of Gentler Streak.
