The Pod-Pillow was designed by YETI and Lenovo’s former top designers, Mark and Peter Rane, and they came together to create Twilla, realizing that there was no single pillow on the market that would fit their exact needs. Sure, pillows are a dime a dozen, and we’ve covered modular ones before, but there’s no truly modular pillow that lets you make it any way you want. This distinction is exclusive to Pod-Pillow, allowing you to pretty much create the pillow that fits your exact needs.
It doesn’t have to be symmetrical – in fact, many people sleep on their left side, so you could design a pillow with a thicker left side so your head is higher when you sleep on your side. You can also create a cradle shape that holds you on your back with your head facing up. You can create a neck brace based on your comfort level – for example, I like my pillows to be thicker at the neck and thinner at the back of my head.
Creating your modular pillow is incredibly intuitive – unzip the pillow and add adjustment compartments to areas where you want a thicker pillow. When you’re happy with the arrangement, zip up the pillow and fluff it up to soften everything and your Pod-Pillow is ready to sleep.
The outside of the Pod-Pillow is covered with Tencel fabric, a eucalyptus-based material known for its moisture-retaining and temperature-regulating properties, as well as its softness. Go deeper and the pillow is filled with Light-Loft™ filling, a premium down alternative with a light airy softness that breathes extremely well. The adjustment chambers are filled with Cooling-Gel Foam™, an odorless, gel-polymer-infused foam that dissipates heat from the pillow surface and keeps the pillow cool when you rest your head.
The Pod-Pillow is machine washable and comes in 3 sizes – queen, king and body, with varying amounts of adjustment compartments to match your pillow size.
