‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 Finally Has A Release Date After Many Years

Now that Andor is finished, we turn our attention to what Disney’s next big Star Wars project will be, and that, of course, will be The Mandalorian’s long hiatus return.

We just learned what the release date of season 3 of The Mandalorian will be. March 1, 2023. If it seems like it’s been a while since season 2, you’re not wrong because the finale was in December 2020. The Mandalorian returns in January/February 2022 with The Book of Boba Fett, including receiving two standalone episodes. , but now her original show is back, generally speaking, Boba Fett was considered a major understatement by Disney.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian seems to head deep into Dave Filoni’s realm, focusing on traveling to Mandalore, redemption for Din after removing his helmet, and the return of Bo-Katan and the possible conflict over Darksaber’s ownership and who truly rules Mandalore. .

Considering that Season 2 ended with Luke Skywalker recruiting Grogu to train him, you should really watch the Book of Boba Fett Mandalorian episodes. These episodes are definitely an important bridge between seasons 2 and 3, given what happened, even if you don’t want to suffer watching the entire Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian has been delayed so long, in part because of the usual COVID delays that have pushed almost all TV shows back a bit, but it also stars Pedro Pascal, who filmed The Last of Us for HBO, where he serves as another well-armed guardian of a teenager. . This show starts a little over a month from now on January 15, 2023, and I think it should be over by The Mandalorian’s return.

The Mandalorian finds himself in an interesting area in the post-Andorian world. It has become a rallying cry for Star Wars fans that Andor is the best Disney era Star Wars has ever produced, based on the birth of rebellion and the tyranny of the Empire. But before that, of course everyone was raving about The Mandalorian, and we’ll have to see how the quality level is in season 3 here. The Mandalorian and Andor are definitely way above The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and they’re showing a significant difference in quality from Disney’s TV Star Wars projects so far. More shows like Ahsoka and The Acolyte are coming, and it’s not yet clear how these will go. What might change in the future now that Bob Iger returns to Disney?

I definitely support The Mandalorian season 3 being good, but I hope it gets a little bit better from where it has been so far and I think Andor will be hard to catch up on, which I think is one level higher than everything that came before it, including The Mandalorian.
