Representative Bishop reveals ‘sinister’ feature in multi-purpose bill on family planning and threats to biodiversity

Representative Dan Bishop, RNC, highlighted an “sinister” feature in the multi-purpose bill released Tuesday that allocates funds for “reproductive health” in areas where “population growth threatens biodiversity.”

The massive $1.7 trillion bill was released earlier that day in anticipation of a vote by Congress on Wednesday. Many Republican figures, including Bishop, have criticized the 4,200-page bill for more wasteful spending by the federal government, without a clear understanding of what’s in the text.

Bishop has documented several examples from his Twitter account, including more than half a billion dollars to “reproductive health” in places that could threaten endangered species.
