Kylie Jenner’s Instagram Photos Accused of Distracting Kim Kardashian

This month, Kim Kardashian faced increased backlash during Balenciaga’s controversial spring/summer 2023 campaign.

The photo shoot went viral on Twitter on November 21 as it featured two toddlers posing with teddy bears dressed in BDSM-style harnesses.

Brand “Balenciaga” recently did a uh…..interesting…photoshoot for their new product, and it included a deliberately badly disguised court document about normal things “virtual child porn”.

It was also noted that court documents mentioning “child pornography” were visible props in the background of the shooting, which provoked outrage on the Internet.

This is absolutely disgusting. In the ads, Balenciaga shows young children holding teddy bears in bondage clothes and a court document on “child porn” partially hidden in the image. This is crime & sick. Sexualizing children should be a red line. @KimKardashian – speak now.

Balenciaga was later accused of sexualizing and “platforming” children.caregivers” and Kim Kardashian, one of the brand’s biggest faces, came under heavy criticism for not speaking out against the shoot.

Kanye West was the one who introduced Kim to Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna Gvasalia, after inviting Kim to be part of the Yeezy Season 1 creative team in 2015.

And Kim’s relationship with the designer developed apart from her ex-husband and she is now known as an exclusive brand collaborator.

In addition to frequently wearing Balenciaga designs, Kim attended the Met Gala with Demna in 2021 and walked the bespoke runway for the brand at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.

But despite Balenciaga’s statement apologizing for his offensive campaign on November 22, Kim remained silent for a week.

Balenciaga’s first Instagram statement read: “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been with children in this campaign. We have removed the campaign from almost all platforms.”

Referring to court documents included in the shoot in a second post, the company said: “We apologize for showing offensive documents in our campaign. We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our 23 Spring campaign photo shoot. We strongly condemn all forms of child abuse.”

But that wasn’t enough for the horrified critics, who continued to pressure Kim into admitting to the scandal.

In fact, the star’s social media posts were flooded with comments highlighting her silence, and last week’s poorly timed episode. Kardashians only fueled the fire when one of its main stories focused on Kim walking the Balenciaga circuit in July.

“The fact that Kim Kardashian live-tweeted about the latest episode of #TheKardashians marching for Balenciaga, but STILL didn’t condemn the child porn ad,” tweeted one person at the time.

Another tweet, citing Kim’s 9-year-old daughter North, said, “It’s kind of bad timing for #TheKardashians to air an episode where Kim takes North to the Balenciaga show.”

And on Sunday, three days after the episode aired and a week after the campaign photoshoot went viral, Kim finally made a statement addressing the situation.

Writing on social media, Kim said he had not previously commented because he wanted to speak to the Balenciaga team in person, adding that he was “stunned” by the “disturbing images”.

“I’ve been quiet for the past few days because I’m not disgusted or outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, I just wanted the opportunity to talk to their team to understand for myself how that could happen.” Wrote

“As a mother of four, I was shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be given the highest regard, and any attempt to normalize child abuse should have no place in our society – period.” He said. “I appreciate that Balenciaga has removed the campaigns and apologized. I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take appropriate action to ensure that this does not happen again. ”

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I’m currently reevaluating my relationship with the brand and basing it on their willingness to accept responsibility for something that should have never happened in the first place, and the actions I expect them to take. Protect the children,” Kim concluded.

But many objected to the responses, notably Kim praising Balenciaga for not committing to severing ties with the brand and apologizing after the campaign came under criticism.

One person tweeted, “The most disturbing thing about this Balenciaga thing is that Kim kardashian is one of the richest women in the world, she could easily cut ties with them and take a big stand but she doesn’t,” tweeted one person. “Is she a real mother?!”

Another mocked: “Balenciaga ‘sorry for sexualizing children’ Kim k ‘everything is fine.’”

In seemingly unrelated Kardashian/Jenner news, Kim’s youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, uploaded some rare photos of her 9-month-old son to Instagram on Monday.

Kylie gave birth to her and Travis Scott’s second child in February and has been acting unusually private about the little boy ever since.

In fact, the lip kit boss still hasn’t disclosed it even though he decided to change his son’s name to “Wolf” just days after he was born, and fans have seen no more than his feet in social media posts and video uploads.

But in a new “highlights” Instagram loop she uploaded to her own page yesterday, Kylie showed off her little boy more than ever before.

In one sweet photo, Kylie is sitting on the grass with her son between her legs. With her hand covering her face, her cute curls look like the rest of her body.

Another photo shows Kylie supporting her toddler son, and another photo shows her 4-year-old daughter Stormi carrying him on her hip as they walk alongside them.

At first glance, the post seems completely innocent, but many began to question why Kylie suddenly decided to share her son after almost 10 months of choosing not to – and it didn’t take long for the two to get together. .

A TikTok user reposted photos of Kylie in a video, referring to her and Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, when they wrote: “Kris said… the name, the face reveal would be so obvious. Here are some crumbs.”

They added to the caption: “Since nobody bought Kim Kardashian’s statements.”

Viewers quickly realized that TikTok was implying that Kylie’s posts were a planned distraction, and flocked to the comment section to talk about it.

One popular comment said, “Kim blew it for Balenciaga, so Kylie’s going to show her baby so we can deflect.” Another echoed: “Don’t distract Balenciaga. Kris is a genius.”

A third person wrote, “Kris said that Kim, under duress, posted a photo of your baby.” Another user said, “I bet they kept this in their back pocket for a crisis like this. It’s sad to think they’re being played like pawns.”

Another TikTok user uploaded a video breaking the Balenciaga controversy and its connection to Kim, and one user commented, “I think we’ll finally find the name of Kylie’s son.”

Following Kylie’s Instagram post, the OP responded to the comment with screenshots of the photos, writing, “Kris Jenner is telling her kids to post good photos after the Balenciaga Scandal.”

“He always finds distractions,” said one viewer. Another asked: “When will Kris hit the panic button and give us the name of Kylie’s baby?”

Khloé Kardashian has yet to reveal the face or name of her newborn son after his birth in July, and many have theorized to tease Kim by following in Kylie’s footsteps.

BuzzFeed News has contacted Kim and Kylie’s rep for comment.

Meanwhile, Balenciaga made another statement about the campaign on Monday. He writes: “We would like to address the controversy surrounding our recent advertising campaigns. We strongly condemn child abuse; we did not intend to include it in our narrative. The two separate advertising campaigns in question reflect a series of grave mistakes for which Balenciaga has claimed responsibility.”

He continues to refer to the teddy bear, “some dressed in BDSM-inspired clothing,” and acknowledges that it “should not be shown with children.”

“This was a wrong choice for Balenciaga,” the statement continues. “Combined with our failure to evaluate and verify the images, the responsibility for this rests solely with Balenciaga.”

Referring to the “encouragement of child pornography” document seen in the second photo shoot, Balenciaga says that “all the items featured in this shoot were provided by third parties who confirmed in writing that these accessories were forged office documents.”

“They turned out to be actual legal documents, most likely from the filming of a television series,” they add. “The inclusion of these unapproved documents was the result of the reckless negligence that Balenciaga is complaining about.”

The statement states, “Balenciaga reiterates its sincere apologies for the offense we have caused, and conveys its apologies to talent and partners.”
