The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Giants 48-22 away to earn their fifth NFL playoff ticket in six seasons.
No player has been more instrumental in the team’s success than quarterback Jalen Hurts, and the NFL MVP has risen even higher after a dominant performance.
Hurts completed 21 of 31 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 77 yards and one more point.
Highlights on Sunday included hitting DeVonta Smith on the 4th and 7th rows for a 41-yard field goal to give Philadelphia a 13-0 advantage.

Hurts also hit AJ Brown 33 yards and took it himself from 10 yards.

The 24-year-old justified Philadelphia’s decision to leave Carson Wentz in 2021 as the team secured the NFC’s last wildcard berth. Still, some wondered what the 2020 second round pick would be as we entered the season. man.
“Still, the jury is still undecided on whether the Hurts would be Philadelphia’s long-term answer in this position due to accuracy issues and inefficiency as a pitcher,” NFL.com said. Bucky Brooks april wrote. “Skeptics question whether he can be a sure-fire setter capable of winning playoff games with the strength of his right arm.”
The Hurts responded to these skeptics by playing at an MVP-type level for the 12-1 Eagles.
Over 13 games, he scored 3,157 yards from 686 yards, 22 touchdowns and three interceptions, and 10 points on the field. According to Pro Football Reference, the percentage of completion (68.1), setter score (108.3) and QBR (69.2) have increased significantly compared to 2021 as we enter Sunday.

Ultimately, Hurts’ efforts on Sunday only reaffirmed his status as the currently only MVP leader, and Twitter backed that claim.
