Idaho murders: College students, pizzeria employee deliver food to police during investigation

Students at the University of Idaho and a local pizzeria employee began delivering pizzas to officers in the Moscow Police Department on Tuesday.

The food delivery from Pizza Perfection was made as a way of thanking the police who were investigating the recent murder of four University of Idaho students.

A fundraising event hosted by a member of the community on spotfund.com invited donations to help fund the meals.

The title of the fundraiser reads, “Moscow, Idaho police and other agencies are working tirelessly to solve the murders of four students.”

According to the fundraiser, police teams are very grateful to those who contributed to the meals.

Four University of Idaho students, Ethan Chapin, 20; Xana Kernodle, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, were presumably stabbed to death early Sunday morning at their home on King Road in Moscow, Idaho, as they slept between 3 and 4 a.m. university campusaccording to the police.

Police said each of the victims was stabbed multiple times, adding that the attacker used a “fixed blade” to kill them. As of Tuesday night, police were unable to identify a suspect.

Officials in Idaho believe the attack was “targeted,” but are asking the Moscow community to be vigilant. Following the attack, University of Idaho administrators decided to increase security around campus for the remainder of the term.
