highly customizable suspension system + weatherproof body
Bruder (see more here) designed the patented EXP-8 suspension system with 12 inches of wheel travel that’s nearly three times more usable than any twin-axle cross-country caravan. With such advanced features, users can adjust the height of the trailer ‘will fit different towing vehicles and level up on almost all slope camping spots.’ What’s more, in woodland environments and at the push of a button, the suspension can lower or tilt the trunk from overhanging tree branches. Complementing the suspension system are tires up to 37 inches long that roll easily on uneven, curved or soft marshy ground.

As well as adjustability, the trailer also features a state-of-the-art body architecture made from a closed-cell quadruple woven epoxy bonded composite – resulting in an incredibly tough construction with lightweight yet great insulation values. ‘It is specifically built to handle all environments in total luxury, above 50 degrees Celsius, below -20 degrees Celsius, in icy conditions and at altitudes above 10,000 feet.,’ notes the brand. Bruder also sealed the chassis to prevent debris from getting trapped in it, and mounted a filtration unit on the trailer in the interior, which is pressurized in dusty travel conditions.

In terms of power, the EXP-8 includes 1,600 watts of solar, a 48 volt system, a 16.7 kWh battery and a 5,000 W inverter. In addition, a phone-compatible touchpad also allows users to control and monitor the living space system on-site and remotely. A truly self-sustaining mobile unit, the trailer includes a remote water collection system to pump water from local streams or fill its 300-400 liter tank.
As for the overall space layout, Bruder has added practicality and comfort to the caravan by equipping it with generous openings that connect to the outdoors, plenty of exterior storage and a clever interior organization system. Whether occupied by a single traveller, a couple or a family, interiors can evolve into multiple layouts to accommodate different types of users.
