These back and forth flights aboard Air Force One impose a heavy bill on taxpayers. Biden’s return to home, Delaware, and Washington has cost him at least $11 million since taking office in January 2021, according to a Fox News Digital analysis conducted by former CBS reporter Mark Knoller.
As of November 18, Biden had made 57 trips to Delaware, covering all or part of 185 days. Trips require taxpayer dollars to cover the costs associated with using Air Force One or Marine One, as well as security costs for the Secret Service. The President spends time at his homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach in Delaware.

The analysis revealed that Biden made at least 101 flights between the White House or Andrews Joint Base and Delaware – 71 flights on Marine One and 30 flights on Air Force One.
As a senator from 1973 to 2009, Biden would drive Amtrak from Delaware to Washington, D.C. every day the Senate was in session—a habit that earned him the nickname “Amtrak Joe.” He claims his trip included 8,200 round trips and more than 2 million miles. For most of that time, a round-trip ticket from Delaware to Washington was less than $100.
