Looking at 2022 as a whole, fashion feels a little… overwhelming. Maybe it was the few who actually attended the Met Gala as a theme. Maybe everything seemed boring compared to a surprisingly strong 2021. Either way, the Venice Film Festival has been the most exciting red carpet. Get whatever you want from it.

Before I get to the point, although this list is not intentionally ordered, I want to highlight one person who consistently brings it up: Jodie Turner-Smith. It was extremely difficult to narrow down his view. Second, I want to shout out to Taylor Russell – if this year is anything to go by, her red carpet evolution will be one to watch.
