AUDI grandsphere concept car continues its global tour

this AUDI Grandsphere conceptualizes the brand’s vision of world-class mobility for the future, particularly where new experiences are possible thanks to the development of driverless and digital technology. As driving becomes automated and users gain more freedom, the interior of the luxury sedan reveals a vast new field of experiences, free from steering wheels, pedals and other instruments. The interior is super clean, lacking a screen for the first time in an AUDI. The cabin is perceived as a living space.

Andrés Reisinger takes personal space to a higher level

Digital artist and designer Andres Reisinger finds and personifies the personal space of the concept car in works of art. Digital, connected and personal attributes are shared between medium and art. Inspiration came from spaces that changed as we moved, and the new experiences this led to. Three different sitting positions inside the car lend themselves to segments within the 2-minute track.

The idea for the digital artwork was inspired by the concept of the Grandsphere. The car was the starting point for the collaboration, but other than that, there was no limit to what I could create.‘ Andrés Reisinger explains to designboom. ‘As an artist, I try to promote another way of life and a higher way of experiencing the world. The evolution of mobility offers this chance. It pushed me to create a very beautiful, compelling piece that points out the benefits of this change.

The two-minute video imagines a seemingly surreal setting that crosses realism and fiction.

Bathed in the artist’s famous warm pink hues, the scene begins with the subtle, shimmering movement of the water and its reflections in a circular mirror. The image instantly distorts the perspective of the space, blurring the boundaries between interior and exterior, just like in the concept car. Digital artwork is moving towards a seemingly surreal medium that crosses realism and fiction. For example, Reisinger’s architecture adheres to the general laws of physics, but introduces nuances and differences in his universe to change the viewer’s perception.

People don’t have to agree with what I created or what AUDI has accomplished with autonomous driving, but the artwork shows a new perspective on familiar things. Normal may be different; a new experience can be understood. Viewers can find new places in my work, be inspired and open the doors to a better life,‘ the artist continues.

The image distorts the perspective of the space, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside.

Elements such as water, air, and movement provide the undercurrent in the architecture and colorful, immersive, experiential world that Reisinger creates. Teleporting from the car to the artwork, the view constantly evolves as the seat of the concept changes position. It draws viewers to new discoveries, like how AUDI’s mobility experience will change as we approach full autonomy. The little details of life are emphasized, normalcy is enriched, and the value of experience is recognized. In a meditation-like positive light, the artwork captures the car’s emphasis on the journey, not the result.

It’s easy to be negative, but hard to be positive. By showing how many elements in life are interconnected, we as creators can make a profound impact. Rapid culture increases stress. The artwork, along with the concept car, aims to change perception and ask people to look at mobility from a different perspective. Once consciousness expands, it will never return. Passengers’ experiences will be taken to the next level where everything is about the journey. The artwork aims to help people record this gradually,Adds Argentinean.

The small details of life are highlighted in the artwork to show how normality can be enriched for new experiences.

AUDI’s booth at Design Miami blends the digital with the physical. The Grandsphere concept transforms interior architecture into digital surfaces and points of contact for passengers. In his work, Reisigner takes this idea to a higher, more beautiful level. He understands the digital and the physical as the human body and soul. The two in combination are the richest. Scenes in the artwork blur different dimensions, immersing prospective travelers in a new reality, connecting the physical and the digital, and vice versa. It demands a positive and lasting response from the audience.

We cannot instantly change people’s perspectives. Some may not change their minds about mobility at all. However, I hope this work of art inspires people to pass on this new experience and slowly but surely help the future.‘ concludes Andrés Reisinger to designboom.
