“If I have to undress for you to care for animals, then that’s what I’m after,” he told the audience.
This uninformed The star even noted that she didn’t pose nude for any acting-related projects.
“I never, ever undress,” he continued. “On TV, in a movie, nothing, no. But I did it for PETA because it’s that important to me.”
He went on to explain that although people believe that “deep is somehow better for the world,” this is actually not the case.
“But what they didn’t realize was that the amount of resources, water, food, oil for shipping, the amount of energy spent making leather is extraordinary,” he said. “It’s not sustainable. The world can’t take it.”
He later shared his leather alternatives, adding: “I found really good materials that are natural. They use cork skin, they use pineapple skin, they use cactus skin.”
After noting how “amazing” these types or skins are, she said she hopes the fashion world will use them.
“My dream is to get these vegan, earth-friendly ingredients into the hands of famous designers.” “I really like the combination of being conscious that there is no animal skin and being conscious of the world because we all, the animals and we, have to live in it. And without it we are doomed.”
Emphasizing her stance, she added: “I would rather walk around naked than wear animals.”
Silverstone, a vegan and animal rights activist, has worked extensively with PETA over the years. In 2020, she went naked for the organization’s “first-ever naked vegan reference public service announcement.”
He shared a message with the organization, explaining that he was “not always vegan” but “always loved animals”. Silverstone also noted how beneficial her plant-based diet was for her.
“I’ve been vegan for 10 years and this is the most important and beneficial decision I’ve ever made.” love said the star. “Physically, the effect was incredible. After becoming vegan, I lost the weight I wanted to lose, my nails were stronger and my skin was glowing. I feel great and look better now than 11 years ago.”
She posed nude for another commercial for PETA in 2016, saying she would “prefer to be naked rather than wearing wool”.
“[I]The cutting process is very fast,” he said in a video interview at the time. “[The sheep are] to cut. They have been damaged. They are seriously injured and are not cared for when injured. It’s just, ‘Go to the next one.’”
